作为程序员工作的职场妈妈米拉，11岁的儿子东明突然被判定为“1型糖尿病”，受到冲击。医生说她一辈子都要注射胰岛素，对此她感到绝望，但她忍住眼泪站了起来。米拉活用自己曾是工程学专业的专业，引进国内未上市的连续血糖测定仪，给东明戴上，并联动监护人远程监测血糖。有采血恐惧的东明使糖尿病管理变得容易，米拉的家人从低血糖休克的焦虑中解放出来。在环友会会员的请求接踵而至后，米拉开始告诉孩子们如何直接进口并联动连续血糖测定仪，以帮助他们和儿子遭受同样的疾病。但是，米拉被指控是未经许可的非法医疗器械，在没有通关的情况下进口，没有交税。……为了家人，为了欢友会，她与世界对抗的故事将展开。

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
